M'bola Tsara

Shambala Madagascar has blossomed from curiosity and enchantment by Madagascar, and the faith to boldly explore life.

You're invited to a space crafted with love, and an adventure: to break the tourism "4th wall" and be engulfed in the heart of Malagasy life.

Sincerely, Love,

Shambala

Shambala Madagascar offers an epic adventure, off-grid in north Madagascar.

We've got the language, the kit, the experience, and the gumption, to facilitate experience of life in Madagascar truly unique and personal.

This is a co-creation guided by your flow.

Tranquility camping on secluded white sandy beaches is as readily available as motorcross jungle adventure madness to share a night with a remote village.

Our motivation lies in the coming together of invigorated hearts and minds, and the evolutionary power of awe that can arise with adventure.

serving Malagasy realness

Often it is connection with the people of Madagascar that unlocks the magic experienced by our guests.

We endeavour to provide a personal experience through a bridge of culture, based on love. Immersive experiences can have a two-week holiday feel like a lifetime, and horizons broadened forever more.

Don't observe Madagascar through a window, dive in.

How to get here

Map Of Where We Are

Shambala is within 1 hour of Nosy Be International Airport, and we can arrange a charming welcome and transfer, or collect you with our boat directly.

Typically, the journey involves a 20 minute drive (a little longer if opting for tuktuk), then a 30 minute boat directly to Doany Beach, where the house awaits.

Nosy Be airport receives flights from Europe, across Madagascar, and other African countries

On the Madagascar mainland, we are ~1 hour down the “road” from Ambanja, a transport hub with roads connected to the capital (Antananarivo) and Diego.
